What is Launch Pad, and who can see what I write?

What is Launch Pad?

Launch Pad is your own view of the work you are doing with your caseworker. You see your stage, your plan, and the services you are working on. You can message your caseworker directly. You never see anyone else, and nobody else sees your Launch Pad.

What will I see there?

• Messages with your caseworker, as a normal chat.

• Where you are, from intake through to the services you are working on now.

• A needs checklist, early on. Before your first assessment with your caseworker, Launch Pad asks “What do you need help with?” once. Your caseworker confirms each thing you tick before it becomes part of your plan. After that, ask for anything else in Messages.

Do I have to answer every intake question?

Not every one. Some questions are required, including the safety questions, and the rest you can skip. If you were sent your own link, your progress saves as you go and you can stop and come back later with that link, on any device. If you are using your organization’s general link, finish in one sitting, because it does not bring you back to saved answers.

The questions change depending on your answers. A short set at the start works out which parts of life you would like help with, and then it asks more only about those. Two people answering honestly will see different questions, and that is how it is meant to work.

What if I am not safe right now?

If anything you tell us suggests you might be in danger, we show you crisis resources straight away, before anything else. You can carry on with the questions afterwards, or stop. Either is fine.

Who can see what I write?

Your caseworker and the administrators at the organization you are working with. Your messages in Launch Pad are never shown to other participants, and your intake answers go to that organization, not to other organizations. Lift Right’s own staff, who run the service, can also reach your record for support.
