How do I set up Lift Right for the first time?

For: Org admin

Four steps on the Organization page. Add your funding, set up your programs, invite your team, and run one intake end to end, in any order. The list tracks itself as you go and reads You are set up when all four are done. Your self-serve intake link sits beneath the steps, ready to copy.

How do I set up Lift Right for the first time?

Four steps on the Organization page, under the heading Get set up. Add your funding, set up your programs, invite your team, and run one intake end to end. You can do them in any order. The list tracks itself as you go, and when all four are done it reads You are set up, with a Hide this link to put it away. Most organizations finish in an afternoon.

Why does funding come first?

Because programs are tied to the grant that funds them. The New Program form asks which grant pays for it, so adding grants first means the answer is already there. You can also add the grant from inside that form or link one later, but until a program has a grant its people cannot be grant-enrolled and will not appear in funder reports.

It is also what makes reporting build itself. Once the money is described, and each service in your Service catalog has a rate and the funding that pays for it, the services your team records land under the right award without anyone deciding each time.

What are the four steps?

Step

What it does

Add your funding

Enter the grants you already report on. Amount, funder, period

Set up your programs

How work is grouped, and how funders see your outcomes. Each is tied to its grant

Invite your team

Caseworkers see their own caseload. Administrators see everything and can assign work

Run your first intake

Walk one person through it. The fastest way to see how the questions branch. Importing your existing people from a spreadsheet ticks this step too

Where is my self-serve intake link?

Beneath the steps, in a line that begins "Your self-serve intake link is ready", with a Copy link button. It is created for you as part of setting up your organization, so there is nothing to turn on. It is one durable address that people can fill in on their own device, and you can copy it from Self-serve intake on the Participants page whenever you need it.

Who sees the setup list?

Administrators only. None of the four steps belong to a caseworker, and a checklist of things you cannot act on is just a list of what you are not allowed to touch.

Can I hide it?

Yes, and you can bring it back. Hiding leaves one quiet line showing how many steps are done, with a Resume setup link. Once all four are complete the list reads You are set up and stays until you choose Hide this.
